FASHION CHANGERS is the home for everyone who wants to bring fair fashion to the media. They bring together media professionals online and offline, create inspiring content, set (sustainability) themes and share knowledge. They develop solutions to make fair fashion more visible in the media. Vreni Jäckle, Nina Lorenzen and Jana Braumüller are behind FASHION CHANGERS, which was founded in Germany, in 2017.

FASHION & RESPONSIBILITY

This was the motto of the first fashion changers conference held on the 15th of October 2020 in Berlin.  In the fashion sector there is an interest for change – be it more diversity, other forms of economy, political participation, real solidarity or even radical transparency.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the Fashion Changers Conference could only take place digitally, but it was still a successful event, with the following topics:

– Transparency & Communication
– Consumption & Materials
– Diversity
– Finances
– Politics

How do I communicate sustainable issues when suddenly everyone is “sustainable”? And how do I combine responsibility and profitability?

These and many more questions were discussed with great speakers on this day. The Fashion Changers Conference was a day for professional development in the field of sustainable fashion, to work out concrete recommendations for action and to expand the network.

We were there! Our founder Beatrace Angut Oola was part of the panel “Solidarity collaboration: What makes global partnerships successful for all”?

Together with Samira Mahboub (sociologist & entrepreneur) and Jörg von Kruse (i+m Naturkosmetik Berlin) she discussed the topic. Kemi Fatoba (journalist and founder of DADDY Magazine) moderated the discussion.
